Simply perfect having been completely re-upholstered during the restoration of 2017 by noted Mini specialists Wood and Pickett. Trimmed in the original black vinyl coated seat fabric, matching padded door cards, new black carpet set andnew OE spec head lining which all complement the exterior wonderfully. The original bakelite two spoke steering wheel with the original Mini badge is in excellent order. The large instrument cluster houses the Smiths gauges which all function perfectly as does the fresh air fan heater/demister. The boot area is impressive with a gleaming satin black painted new fuel tank and carpeted boot floor... Stunning
This Mini 1000 has been subject to a documented, comprehensive completely stripped bare rolling bodyshell restoration again by Mini specialists Wood and Pickett completed August 2017 at a cost of £6840. Needless to say the results are outstanding, finished in the original colour Vermillion Red (code BLVC 118), the paint work is seriously impressive with a deep glossy uniformed finish. The original brightwork has a flawless finish and is immaculate throughout. The original 'Sicursiv' tempered glass is excellent all round. The underside has been professionally undersealed during the restoration… An impressive show standard Mini.
Filling the arches are a set of timeless classic design Minator 8 spoke 5"x10" brand new alloy wheels with polished rims and sitting on premium new Falken Sincera 145/80 R10 tyres.
Brake system has been fully overhauled with new 7.5 inch front discs and AP calipers, drums to the rear. The brakes have an excellent positive peddle feel and pull up strongly.
The original matching numbers water cooled in-line overhead-valve four-cylinder engine mounted transversely has a cubic capacity of 998cc and produces 38bhp. A mere 22k miles has been covered from new backed up by the documented history file, the cylinder head has been converted to run on unleaded fuel. The original sporty Mini 1000 four-speed all synchromesh gearbox has been overhauled and new clutch fitted, gear selection is slick and smooth such fun to drive. The engine bay has purposely been left as original as possible supporting original factory identification plates and stickers.

Supplied new 14th November 1972 by Henleys, Widemarch Street, Hereford to local resident Mrs Pritchard. Only having had 4 previous owners to date and spending all of her life in Hereford she was passed by Mrs Pritchard to her neighbour, then her grandson, then to Mr Tomlinson before finally residing in London with the last keeper since 2015.
The extensive 'bare rolling shell' restoration of 2017 was completed by renowned Mini specialists Wood and Pickett, Leatherhead Surrey totalling in excess of £14k. One invoice alone dated 31st August 2017 documents many parts and work carried out totalling £12,487, she has covered only 87 miles since completion and been garaged ever since.
The comprehensive history file complete with original Mini 850/1000 handbook, two original British Leyland Mini sales brochures, original ignition keys, many past MOT's, invoices for servicing and parts plus old V5's.
