Chrome plated handlebars with smooth action twist grip, integral horn and dimmer switch, adjustable brake and clutch levers with built in cable adjusters.
Smiths 150 MPH speedometer with trip recorder and tachometer, Lucas ammeter built into the headlight bowl.
Triumph front forks with progressive 2-way damping, twin NJB shock absorbers to the rear, twin down swept exhausts, 12v electrics with new battery.
Deep cushion contour twin seat with 'Quiltop' covered in waterproof 'Vynide' and Triumph gold lettering to the rear.
Exterior
This Triumph T120R Bonneville is a matching numbers machine in highly desirable Hi-Fi Scarlet and Silver paintwork. The tank has been professionally painted to Concours standard its flawless and all decals and striping hand painted.
Powder coated frame, all aluminium parts highly polished and beautiful chrome, Lucas headlight, rear light and reflectors, stainless steel fenders, Many original parts... Simply stunning
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Dunlop stamped chrome rims with steel spokes laced to the original aluminium hubs all in superb order. Sitting on excellent matching Dunlop Roadmaster TT100 tyres, 4.10 H19 on the front and 4.25/85 H18 on the rear.
Original Triumph forks, telescopic design with hydraulic 2-way control have been fully rebuilt with new oils and seals.
Brakes - Front, full width finned hub and vented 8 inch diameter. Rear, 7 inch drum with detachable sprocket and fully floating brake shoes.
Engine & Transmission
This T120R benefits from its original matching numbers 649cc OHV vertical twin engine that has been fully rebuilt including the gearbox using the finest quality parts by noted Meriden Motorcycles, Coventry. The engine is fully detailed to show standard.
On the road she sounds amazing, pulls easily, the 4-speed gearbox and clutch operate with ease... Simply a joy to ride.
Summary
This matching numbers 1968 model year Triumph T120R was supplied new to the USA in the autumn of 1967 and returned back to the UK in the late 1990's.
The previous owner advised that this T120R was fully restored by Meridan Motorcycles where he purchased it on 6th June 2017 with a recorded 1166 miles. The bike was kept as part of his private collection and never ridden. The mileage now sits at 1174 so only 8 miles covered since completion.
When purchased by ourselves we had the bike fully recommissioned and the fuel tank fully restored to concours standard as there was slight blistering around the filler neck. At this time we also had the tank stripped and sealed internally.
The history file contains some passed MOT certificates, the original ignition key and steering lock key presented on a Vintage Motorcycle Club leather/enamel keyring.
A fresh 12 month MOT and full service will be completed upon sale and of course, this T120R is HPi clear with certificate included.
