Interior & Equipment
The GTI TCR features styling not seen in any other GTI model. A purposeful, driver-focused cockpit trimmed with premium heated sports seats in cloth, leather and alcantara with red contrast stitching. A black roof lining with the desirable optional panoramic sunroof, leather multifunction sports steering wheel and aluminium pedals. Unlike the traditional tartan-trimmed GTI, the TCR adopts a bespoke, more understated and premium interior.
Including Volkswagen's Digital Cockpit, Navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Reversing Camera, combining everyday comfort with genuine hot-hatch character.
This interior is unmarked and has been extensively cared for. The seats have also been protected with water repellent sealant for increased protection.
Exterior
Finished in an exclusive to the TCR and launch colour, Pure Grey, this GTi's bodywork is exceptional. Meticulously cherished, the paintwork displays a deep gloss throughout. Benefiting from exclusive styling and upgrades over the standard GTI, including the more aggressive factory TCR body styling, larger rear spoiler, unique front splitter, extended side skirts, TCR decals and rear diffuser, all finished in complimentary gloss black. The roof is also in contrasting gloss black, an option chosen from brand new over the standard body colour.
The Golf GTI TCR has a particularly inviting effect when opening the front doors: the TCR logo is then projected onto the asphalt. The exterior features of the classic GTI insignia include the legendary red stripes in the radiator grille and the standard LED headlights. Elegantly toned: the dark red LED rear lights with sweeping LED indicator stobes.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Wheels - Fitted with gorgeous optional factory 19-inch matt black "Reifnitz" alloy wheels paired with original fitment 235/35 ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s all-round, new front tyres and rears with plenty of tread remaining.
Brakes - Striking red GTi brake calipers with drilled and ventilated front discs.
Suspension - Optional Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) as part of the performance pack, adaptive dampers and a lower suspension setup, sitting 20 mm lower than the standard Golf GTI and 5 mm lower than a standard TCR.
Engine & Transmission
Powered by the 2.0-litre turbocharged EA888 four-cylinder producing 286 BHP. Paired with the 7-speed DSG gearbox, the TCR delivers effortless performance with 0-62 mph in just 5.6 seconds while remaining perfectly usable as an everyday car. Complete with the performance pack option, which includes 4 selectable driving modes and Vmax removal.
Power is transmitted to the front wheels as standard via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DSG) and a locking differential. To provide appropriate cooling to handle the increased engine power in any situation, the Golf GTI TCR has been equipped with two extra water radiators in front, the same as the all-wheel drive Golf R.
Finished with the optional factory Akrapovic titanium exhaust, with stamped baffled tailpipes over the standard stainless steel system.
