This 420R has perfect panels, freshly wrapped in battleship grey and painted flo-yellow cage.
New Chassis in 2021, new front and rear wings, new front nose and mesh, new rear basket, fuel tank and 55 litre FIA endurance fuel cell in 2023, Bilstein suspension, battery cut off switch, driver and passenger side mirrors, spare exhaust... Looks stunning
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Fitted with excellent Apollo lightweight race wheels, diamond cut with gloss black centres, 6x13 front and 8x13 rear with excellent Toyo tyres.
Also supplied with a second set of Apollo race wheels, again fitted with very good Toyo tyres.
Ventilated front discs and AP quad piston calipers to the front and twin piston AP calipers to the rear, the rear controlled by a lever-type rake bias valve.
Engine & Transmission
Fitted with the Caterham Motorsport 2.0 Litre Ford Duratec engine (Caterham sealed) 175 BHP engine, having been fitted new in 2021, and has done very little since. Fully team run by LFP Motorsport at no expense, benefitting from regular oil changes and detailed pre-event checks.
The Sadev Sequential Gearbox is excellent and performs perfectly. A new clutch was fitted at the start of the 2023 season and not been used since, limited slip differential... It's read to race.
Summary
This 420R has been fully Team ran from new so no expense spared when it comes to servicing/maintenance keeping in race-ready condition. The car has done very little since 2023 and has only been raced in one Magnificent Sevens round at Donington Park in April 2023 and not used since.
The car is ready to go with all new fluids/oils etc and race prepared. This 420R can enter directly into the Caterham 420R Championship with ECU and suspension upgrades, as it still has the Caterham sealed engine and gearbox, Toyo Tyres 7 Racing Series, CSCC Magnificent Sevens Series, Hill Climbs or be used as a great trackday weapon.
Caterhams are great fun to race or enjoy as a trackday car. There simple in construction and parts are sensibly priced with everything immediately available from Caterham direct or noted parts suppliers.
