The original spotless leather interior is remarkable, as you would expect from such a low mileage example. The sumptuous black leather shows no signs of adverse wear or discolouration, the optional driver and passenger comfort electric multi way seats operate perfectly. The original black carpets are excellent throughout as are the optional Factory luxury Porsche Logo overmats. The optional Tiptronic Control black leather steering wheel is unmarked and as new. All switchgear, interior lighting, heater, air conditioning, perforated black headlining, front and rear seatbelts, unmarked dashboard and door trim again are all as new just as they left the factory back in October 1997. Sound is provided by a premium single CD/radio unit through multi way factory fit speakers and tweeters. The boot area is complete with original unmarked carpet, courtesy light, tool kit and warning triangle again all as new. Amazing throughout…
Finished in factory Arctic Silver Metallic, (code L92U), and has a brilliant uniformed deep mirror shine throughout. All original panels are perfectly straight and gaps as per it left the factory, the bonnet still retains the original production paper sticker on the inside. The rear wing protection foils have just been replaced as they discolour with age. All original lights front and rear are in exceptional order with uniformed colour and a silky polished finish. The teardrop mirrors are unmarked and all original factory glass is perfect. The Targa top has been fully serviced and operates with ease as does the retractable sunblind. Stunning…
Equipped with original Porsche factory option distinctive 2-piece split rim 17-inch refurbished wheels shod with all matching brand new factory specification Pirelli P Zero tyres. The brake discs and pads have recently been replaced and all 4 brake calipers been refurbished by a Porsche approved body shop. It doesn’t get any better than this the attention to detail is second to none…
Porsche’s VarioRam induction system was designed to improve low to mid-range torque by optimising airflow at different rpms. Introduced on the 993 Carrera RS’s M64/20 engine in 1995, the technology was then rolled out onto the standard 993 Carrera range with the introduction of the 1996 M64/21 engine. Its discontinuation marked the end of air-cooled Porsches, with the 993 being the last air-cooled 911. Needless to say this 3.6 Targa is super quiet, idles beautifully, pulls very strongly throughout the rev range and starts with ease hot or cold. The engine bay is all original and detailed. With a 0-60 in just 5.4 sec, top speed of 171 mph and that flat 6 engine note you cannot fail to smile.
Here we have a chance to own one of the very last 993 Porsche 911’s this car was registered new on the 21st October 1997 by Five Oaks Official Porsche Centre and is a correct C16 Great Britain specification car. Its clear to see it has been truly pampered and cherished throughout its life time.
The history file contains the original 2 Porsche keys, Porsche Leather Bound folder with all official handbooks and a comprehensive Porsche Service record with no less than 19 Porsche Service Stamps from the first on 6th October 1998 plus Porsche Record of brake fluid changes, Condition reports etc this documents and proves the genuine low mileage. Other documents include past MOTs, Service invoices and a Porsche UK Vehicle Identification Specification Sheet.
MOT Until June 2019, HPI Clear
The 993 Targa had a short production run of only 3 years and a total of 4619 cars produced of which 1151 of these were for the US and Canada making this C16 Genuine UK car very rare indeed and a fantastic investment opportunity.
With its low documented mileage, only 4 previous owners, genuine UK supplied car and originality its not one to be missed.

Regarded as the 993 generation of the 911 is often referred to as the best and most desirable of the 911 series, not only because of its beauty, but also because of its great performance, even by modern standards. The 993 is quoted as "the last complete 'modern classic' ” the 993 was and forever will be that last fresh breath of air that Porsche gave the world; elegance and muscle all in one package.
The Targa version of the 993 was introduced in model year 1996 and saw the debut of the so-called "greenhouse" system: a retractable glass roof, a design continued on the 996 and 997 Targa. The glass roof would retract underneath the rear window revealing a large opening. This system was a complete redesign, as previous Targa models had a removable roof section and a wide B-pillar functioning as a roll bar. The new glass roof design allowed the 993 Targa to retain the same side-on profile as the other 911 Carrera variants and finish without the inconvenience of storing the removed top of the old system. The Targa has the body of the convertible with the Targa glass roof replacing the fabric roof.
