Exterior
Finished in BMW Pepper White, the paint finish and bodywork are outstanding having been fully refreshed in 2023. Frontline completely de-seam the shell producing sleek modern lines.
The underside is equally as impressive, detail painted throughout and protected by a thin coat of clear Dinitrol.
Bright work all round is in perfect blemish free order. All glass again unmarked with perfectly opening quarter lights, Wipac crystal clear headlights, Lucas rear and front side lamps, Sebring style front valance... Stunning throughout.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Wheels - Dunlop-style 15 x 6 centre-lock alloy wheels present totally unmarked and cost in excess of £3,000. Fitted with all matching brand new Bridgestone Turanza 195/65 R15 tyres.
Brakes - Front: 273 mm vented discs with 4-pot calipers, Rear: 265 2-pot calipers, needless to say, stopping power is seriously impressive.
Suspension - Optimised suspension and ride-height. Front - Double-wishbone with Frontline dampers, Rear - 5-link suspension with Frontline coilover telescopic dampers. Frontline has recently carried out a full geometry and suspension set up. Weighing in at 1,060 kg (49% front; 51% rear) handling is razor sharp and ride superb as you would expect from such a bespoke build.
Engine & Transmission
Fitted with the proven Mazda 2 litre 16v 4cyl MX5 ‘Duratec’ engine with 214 bhp @ 7,200rpm and 174 lb-ft torque @ 4,200rpm. Jenvey Injection Throttle Bodies, high pressure Bosch fuel pump, optional extras include Pipercross air filter £80, Trans-X limited slip differential - £1014, SERCK Performance aluminium radiator and header tank £988.
The six-speed Mazda gearbox is slick and precise, the clutch light and progressive.
On the road, the performance is mind-blowing, it's hard to believe you're driving a classic MGB GT.
Fitted with a full stainless steel exhaust system with tubular headers, the sound is addictive, deep and purposeful.

Summary
The LE50 was the first Frontline hand built Factory Edition produced from 2012 to 2021 with a total run of 50 cars. Always a GT coupe. Available with two engine options: Mazda MX5 2-litre with 214bhp or the ‘Plus Pack’ version with 238bhp.
