Summary

The fully documented history file is simply amazing with receipts from 1959 to the present day.  The car was built 19th March 1953 and supplied new 1st April 1953 from Abingdon as a right hand drive export vehicle to Senior Inspector I.M Henson c/o Tsun Wan Police Station, Kai Tak, Kowloon registration number 3054.  From here it was then homed in South Africa, Canada, Azazona, Idaho, Long Beach California then back to the UK in 2014.  Supported by a chest full of original paperwork filed by year for servicing, repairs, and a 5 year full restoration completed in 1990 by a Senior Moss employee in Canada.  Different country registration and taxation documents detail its travels around the world and is a fasinating read.  

The car has been identified by the T-Register records as being a correct matching numbers vehicle and this is doucumented in the history file.

The MG Midget sport cars produced from 1936 till 1955 are known as the MG Series T-Type Midget. The production was started in 1936 with the TA, after which the TB followed just before the outbreak of World War II. After the war in 1945, the production was continued with the MG TC. In 1949 the MG TD was introduced, after which in 1953 the latest model in the T-series was introduced, the MG TF. The production was stopped in 1955, 20 years after of the first T-type was introduces. The MGA was introduced in 1955, for which the T-types were the predecessor's.  In total 29,664 TD's were built making it the most popular of all the T series Midgets.
