This exceptionally restored UK built example is finished in its original colour of Signal Red (code 32) and boasts a near flawless uniform finish which is a testament to how well this car was prepared and painted 13 years ago.
All exterior brightwork is a mixture of original, replated, or new quality items and is just stunning. All steel paneled body, forward hinged bonnet and doors with excellent panel fit and arrow straight lines, laminated windscreen, and original glass all round with a Triplex rear screen, pristine original factory 'Surrey Top' and fully refurbished hard top... The 2138cc four cylinder engine with twin Stromberg 175CD set up produces 100bhp. A 0-60mph figure quoted at 10.9 seconds and top speed of 103 mph.
The history file documents the engine was extensively rebuilt in 2011 and a full gearbox and overdrive rebuild by TR Bitz, Knutsford, Cheshire in October 2022. Starting hot or cold is effortless, she idles perfectly and pulls strong in every gear. The four-speed manual transmission selects with ease, overdrive in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears performs flawlessly, the new complete clutch assembly is light and precise, she sounds glorious through the twin stainless exhausts... Simply a joy to drive.

The highly detailed engine and engine bay are to show standard.
Here we have a stunning UK built 1965 TR4A-IRS numbers matching car.
The supplied heritage certificate states that the car was ordered new in Signal Red with a red interior, 'Surrey Top' and was born in Coventry on the 19th of August 1965 before being shipped to Leyland Albion (CA) Ltd. in Salisbury Rhodesia one week later on the vessel Clan Macleod.
An English Doctor purchased the car in 1979, who repatriated the vehicle in 2011 when he returned to the UK. A professional UK restorer purchased the vehicle upon its return to the UK and began a major and total body-off restoration. Sadly, ill health intervened and the almost completed project was put into dry storage. The car was then purchased by a Triumph enthusiast who completed the restoration in the summer of 2019.
The healthy history file documents restoration work completed, British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, 2 sets of keys, receipts and invoices for servicing, parts and maintenance back to the 1970s.
A fresh 12 month MOT will be completed upon sale. HPi clear with certificate included.
Taxation Class: Historic Vehicle - Zero road tax, MOT and ULEZ exempt.
This TR4A has only had 1 previous private keeper since the restoration was completed and covered a mere 600 miles.
Without doubt, this is a show standard TR4A - IRS, one ready to enjoy and show, viewing is highly recommended.
