Simply perfect... Newton Commercial Tartan red / gold brocade reclining front seats and matching rear bench seat, new red carpet set with sound insulation felt and tailormade over mats, matching door cards, vinyl covered dash rails top and bottom and a fully restored dash.
The door pockets are unmarked, Mota-Lita leather rim steering wheel, new cream crackle headlining, Britax three point silver seatbelts, and Safety Devices International half roll cage. The large instrument cluster houses the Smiths gauges and surrounded by a Stack rev counter, all function perfectly as does the single lever Smiths Heater. The boot area is impressive with gleaming gloss black painted twin tanks synonymous with the Cooper S and a new carpeted boot board... Stunning
Exterior
This Austin Mini Cooper S Type 1275 MKI sits perfectly. Finished in deep Tartan red paintwork with contrasting Old English White roof.
The body shell was completely stripped by Swiftune with supporting photographs and finished in Tartan red paintwork, completed in 2017. The paintwork is seriously impressive with a deep gloss uniform finish throughout.
All brightwork presents with a mirror finish, the sliding side windows, all glass and lenses are perfect in every detail. The underside of the car is equally as impressive, unmarked and fine detailed throughout... An impressive show piece built by the best.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Wheels - Sitting on unmarked 10 inch Rose Petal wheels with all matching new Dunlop SP Sport R7 165/70 R10 tyres.
Brakes - New 7.5 inch S specification discs with competition brake pads, rear alloy drums.
Suspension - Uprated rubber cones and GAZ damper set.
Steering - Quick rack, race proven geometry set-up.

Swiftune has been building, racing and winning with Mini’s since Glyn Swift set up shop in 1965. Still run by his family, Swiftune engines have powered just about every winning Mini at Goodwood including the legendary all-Mini races in 2009 and again in 2019.
Summary
Here we have a very special Austin Mini Cooper S Type 1275. The heritage certificate documents that the car was dispatched on 2nd June 1964 to official dealers Wimbledon Motors Limited. Options included a fresh air heater, extra fuel tank and 4.5 inch wheels.
This particular vehicle has been fully restored by Nick Swift of Swiftune for Mike Quaife (Quaife Engineering) and finished to his bespoke specification.
The history file documents correspondence from Nick Swift regarding the build for Mike Quaife, some background history of the origin of the car which was purchased by Nick Swift's father, original sales brochures, British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, 2 x sets of keys, etc.
A bespoke build such as this today would cost in excess of £100k. This can only be described as an outstanding example built by the best in the business, Swiftune and displayed at the London Car Show, it's certainly one not to be missed.
