This incredible MGB LE Roadster was supplied new by official British Leyland dealers H.T.H Autos, John Street, Rochdale to Mrs Elizabeth May of Norden, Rochdale on 2nd March 1981. These final edition roadsters at the time cost £6108 new and because of demand they were changing hands at £7800. This Limited Edition Roadster being 1 of only 420 produced and 1 of only 212 with factory alloy wheels made it a very sought after vehicle. Mrs May cherished the car for 12 years and in February 1993 sold it to Mr Clifford Foster of Swinton, Manchester with a recorded mileage of 19,286. The second owner Mr Foster covered a mere 3423 miles in his 21 year ownership.
The history file is incredible, packed with invoices and receipts for servicing and maintenance, previous 6 owner details with supporting log books back to new of which one gentleman owned the car twice. Nineteen past MOT Certificates the first dated 28th February 1985 at 10,464 miles, this clearly documents the incredibly low mileage, 2 original keys, Heritage Certificate, original owners manuals in the Leyland Supercover document wallet, original supplying dealer tax disk holder and past valuation certificates etc.
MOT until May 2024 and of course this MGB LE is HPI clear with certificate included.
