Perfect in every way, jet black flawless paintwork with hand painted decals. The chrome and brass work is perfect, the attention to detail with every nut bolt and washer is mind blowing complete with hand made leather saddlebags embossed with the Motobecane logo... Stunning

The 49cc 2 stroke engine starts easily, runs perfectly, sounds nice and crisp, it cannot fail to make you smile.
Summary
This is a simply stunning example of the Motobecane Mobylette AV37 Mobymatic Luxe - 1955. Over 300 hours of painstaking restoration has gone into this wonderful machine. The detail is incredible, perfect jet black paintwork, hand painted decals, hand made leather side bags with embossed Motobecane logo, stunning brass detail the list goes on and on with its mesmerising detail.
Moby would work perfectly as a focal point of discussion and eye catching interest in any cafe bar, boutique, patisserie, antique store etc. Not currently registered for UK roads but could easily be done should you wish to do so.
Not to be missed, we have never seen anything like it or likely to see anything like it again. A restoration such as this would cost thousands to recreate, this is ready to enjoy now.

The Mobylette, sometimes shortened as Moby, is a model of moped by French manufacturer Motobecane during the second half of the 20th century. The Mobylette was launched in 1949 and was manufactured until 1997, with production numbers exceeding 14 million with peak production in the 1970s, averaging around 750,000 annually.
After World War Two, many airports, rail roads, roads, power plants, pipelines, refineries and factories of Europe were damaged from bombs. So travel was mostly limited to bicycles. A bicycle was light enough to carry across a stream, or over a pile of rocks. But there was a need for long distance mobility, so the motorized bicycle (moped), originally the first motorcycles of the 1890’s-1900’s, was re-born in Europe after WWII. The first Mobylette (little mobility) was the French-made 1949 Motobecane AV3.
