The interior is simply wonderful. Being a car built early in the production run it still retains its lovely TR3a style seats, a rare sight they have been fully refurbished in black with white piping as are the matching door cards. The factory original enamelled dashboard is in beautiful condition as is the original multi spoke steering wheel. All switchgear is original and correct as are all the gauges and clocks which give healthy readings. A high quality replacement carpet set has been fitted throughout. The immaculate boot area is carpeted in the matching pile and below the boot floor houses the spare wire wheel, jack and wheel brace.
The elegant lines of the Giovanni Michelotti design are instantly recognisable this beautiful example is finished in its original colour of Signal Red (code 32) which boasts a beautiful uniform deep shine finish, completely blemish free which is testament to how well this car was prepared and painted 21 years ago. All trim sections, triplex glass, lights, badges and door handles are mainly original as are the chrome bumpers, just stunning. All steel genuine BMC panelled body, forward hinged bonnet and doors with excellent panel fit and arrow straight lines, laminated detachable windscreen, pristine removable Factory aluminium backlight with original Stanpart 'Surrey Top' complete with original delivery cardboard box!... Just lovely. The as new polished steel rear luggage rack is easily removable this would leave 2 holes not visible behind the number plate which are plugged with the supplied rubber grommets.
The optional 60 spoke stove-enamelled matt silver wire wheels are beautiful with complementing chrome spinners and in fantastic order. All matching quality Uniroyal Rally 180 tyres 165/SR15 have plenty of tread remaining and the Girling hydraulic braking system offers a positive feel and safe straight line braking.
The 2138cc four cylinder engine with twin Stromberg 175CD set up produces 100bhp. A 0-60mph figure quoted at 10.9 seconds and top speed of 103 mph. The highly detailed engine bay is ready for showing as you can see from the pictures. Starting hot or cold is effortless, she idles perfectly and pulls strong in every gear. The four speed manual transmission performs flawlessly, the clutch is light and precise its simply a joy to drive.
You will not be disappointed with this wonderful TR and viewing is highly recommended. Remarkable condition throughout this is an honest vehicle that any enthusiast would be very proud to own and show. Absolutely any inspection is welcome.

This delightful TR4 was bought in from the USA West Coast by a gentleman from Leicester in 1995. Sadly he passed away whilst the car was just about to be restored and converted to RHD. The car was then purchased by Mr Arthur Bedford of Crediton ,Devon who has confirmed he completely striped it back to the chassis and completed a full nut and bolt restoration. Some panels were replaced during the restoration using genuine BMC parts hence the fantastic fit and arrow straight lines of the car. Being a West Coast Dry State car it was in fantastic solid original order and treated to a full bare metal respray, converted to RHD using all the original clocks and gauges, and the interior fully restored using the original factory seats, door cards, window winders etc. Mr Bedford sold the car in 2014 and it has been with the current owner since this time. Only 2435 documented miles have been covered since its restoration way back in 1997 some 21 years ago. The history file contains 17 past MOT's dating back to the original of 13th May 1997 when the car was registered for the UK roads, many receipts and parts invoices, the original Triumph TR4 handbook and original sales brochure... lovely
