The interior is outstanding throughout and unmarked, you can clearly see the car has been cherished to show standard by its long term owner of 17 years.
The Subaru WR1... Instantly recognisable thanks to its unique Ice Blue Metallic paint (code 23G) plus driving lamps and a stainless steel mesh grille.
All original panels are perfectly straight and gaps as per it left the factory, the front wings clearly display the original Subaru stamps. The detailed paintwork is outstanding with only a couple of very very minor touched in age related marks but they certainly do not detract from the exceptional show standard exterior of this desirable WR1. All original unmarked lights and original factory glass with etched chassis numbers.
The underside has just undergone a complete detailed restoration to better than new standard at a cost of circa £6000 by Paul Randall Motorsport. Works include an entire bare metal strip of the complete underside and recoated using tintable Raptor Protective Coating in Ice Blue, all bolts zinc plated, powder coated fuel tank, subframes, brackets etc etc.. simply outstanding attention to detail.
Subtle extras include Perrin Performance wing stabilisers, shark fin rear roof vortex generator, rear lower diffuser and front splitter... Stunning.
Wheels... Unmarked 18in P-FF7 (Prodrive Flow Forming seven-spoke) alloy wheels with excellent all matching Yokohama Neova AD08 RS 225/40R 18 tyres.
Brakes... AP Racing six-pot CP5555 race spec calipers with 355mm discs front, AP Racing four-pot calipers with 330mm rear, Pagid RS4 blue pads, AP braided brake lines.
Handling... EXE-TC fast road coilover, RCM front and rear anti-roll bars, uprated droplinks, Perrin strut brace, all fully set up by Chevron Motorsport, Stafford.
Simply incredible handling and outstanding braking performance.
2.1-litre stroker engine created over a 2 year involved project by the genius of Nick Johnson, MD and engine builder at Advanced Automotive, Bristol. Initially, the current owner's brief was to create a drivable 500bhp plus usable road car that would also be a competent occasional track car, here's the result...
2.1-litre closed deck block, 14mm head studs, Spec C AVCS reworked cylinder heads, Cosworth cams, RCM Arrow conrods, ACL race series main bearings, Mahle Motorsport bigend bearings, Mahle 2618 Powerpack+ pistons 92.5mm, AA modified HP oil pump, Cosworth baffle plate, GC8 sump, Setrab oil cooler, RCM water pump, RCM billet fuel rails, 1000cc injectors, Simtech ECU with 2 maps (450/674bhp), RCM catch tank, APS 725 Stealth intercooler, AP Racing single plate clutch, six speed gearbox, RCM flywheel, RCM twisted pipework, Garrett billet GTX3582R V3 turbo, RCM large air filter and turbo inlet pipe, RCM 3in exhaust system, and finally mapped by ECU guru Dave Rowe... The list goes on and on, simply outstanding performance, development, craftsmanship and reliability now producing a mammoth 757bhp @ 2.4 BAR on race fuel and 674bhp @ 2.1 BAR on pump fuel, the engine has been continually ran on Motul 300V oil and changed without fail every 1000 miles.
At the time of completion in 2012, this Impreza was possibly the most powerful in the UK. 12k trouble free miles have been covered since the build which is a testament to the quality of workmanship by Advanced Automotive.
