Interior & Equipment
The interior of this Golf is in excellent order with the sports seats finished in the Dove Grey (code CT) along with the matching unmarked cloth covered door and side panels. The seats are in beautiful unmarked and wear free condition even the driver's side bolsters are perfect. The white headlining is new and mark free, the grey plush carpets are excellent throughout. The original fascia and trim sections are perfect and all the controls work as they should even the digital clock works, the soft touch dash is unmarked and crack free. This interior represents everything you would expect from such a low mileage example. Wonderful.
Exterior
Finished in original factory Paprika Red (code LK3A), the paintwork has a deep bright uniform shine with no flaws what so ever. The brand new mohair convertible hood is finished in contrasting black and looks superb. The framework looks as new and effortlessly operates manually to fold away neatly under the rear grey factory tonneau. Alongside the dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder, even the original option code sticker and factory inspection stamp remain in the boot area! The bumpers, rubber side mouldings and all other body trim sections are excellent and scuff free. As you can see from the pictures the panel fit is as it left the factory, all glass, lights and decals are perfect.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
This Golf Clipper Convertible is fitted with newly refurbished flawless and rare original BBS cross spoke alloy wheels with lock in centre caps. They are all shod with brand new quality Pirelli Cinturato P1 tyres 185/60 R14tyres and the original space saver spare wheel is as new. The diagonally split braking system incorporating front discs and self-adjusting rear drums provide assured stopping power.
Engine & Transmission
The legendary 4 cylinder 1.8 engine producing 90bhp is smooth and performs strongly giving an excellent and responsive performance. A top speed of 99mph and 0-60 in 13.2 seconds make this a sprightly fun car which cannot fail to impress. The automatic transmission changes seamlessly and engages kick-down quickly. Great fun to drive. The engine bay is show standard and detailed throughout.
