Perfect... The original seats and arm rest were re-upholsterd in black leather and piped in red during the restoration in 1993, the door cards were also replaced. The 3 spoke original MG steering wheel is perfect, all clocks and gauges work perfectly and have cristal clear glass. All switches work as they should as does the heater. New black carpets were fitted along with correct MG rubber floor mats.
Completely blemish free the Orient Red paintwork has been refreshed this year with a bare metal re-spay. The panel fit throughout is very good as you can see from the pictures, most of the original car was retained and restored when it came back to the UK in 1993 pictures in the history file show this. The bright work is excellent having been replaced or rechromed during is restoration in 1993. The black hood and side screens are as new.
Fully restored original MG disc wheels (5) with perfect chrome hub caps, and sitting on excellent all matching Kumho Power Star 165R15 86T tyres. The drum brakes have all been recomissioned and operate perfectly pulling up swiftly and straight.
The engine was completely rebuilt in 1993 and has only covered 2000 miles in the last 25 years, the history file has photographs of the engine when it had been rebuilt and repainted prior to being put back in. Starting is effortless she starts first time every time, idles beautifully and sounds perfect. On the road she pulls strong in every gear, the gearbox it light and precise in operation, a pleasure and fun to drive.
This is a stunning Mk1 1500 MGA Roadster. Imported from Florida in 1993 she was then stripped back to the frame and restored leaving no bolt unturned and subsequently converted to RHD. The history file contains the Florida Certificate of Title, original Owners Handbook, many past MOT's dating back to 1993 and detailed pictures of the restoration showing the car in its very good condition when it arrived from Florida and stage by stage as it was stripped back to the frame and rebuilt upto the finished article we have today. This MGA has been in the same ownership for the last 24 years since it was imported in 1993.

The MGA a British sports car which was made in Abingdon from May 1955 to July 1962. The original car was a Roadster with a 1500cc engine. In September 1956, a Coupé version was produced with the same engine. In April 1958, the first MGA with a 1600 twin cam engine was produced, and in May 1959 the MGA got a 1600 push rod engine. A total of 101,081 MGA’s were made, with over 90% being exported from the UK. This included cars assembled from kits of parts in Australia, South Africa, Canada, Ireland, Holland, Mexico, and even Cuba. Of the total production, 9922 were the coupé model.
