Interior & Equipment

Exactly as Land Rover Intended, minimal but with everything you need.  The original seats have been fully restored in correct green vinyl, All gauges work correctly, all switch gear operates as it should. The complete interior front and rear has been repainted to a high gloss Bronze Green finish and is excellent throughout.  The original banjo steering wheel has been fully restored by Myrtle Limited and looks stunning.  Heavy duty Exmoor tailor made mats protect the floor in the cab area and the rear fitted out with heavy duty ribbed rubber... 

Exterior

This Series 1 has been finished in the traditional period Bronze Green colour code LRC001. Restored over may years by a lifelong Land Rover Club enthusiast and completed  at the end of 2020.  The body work is corrosion free and presents very well, the underside and original chassis has been stripped back, painted and undersealed.

All exterior lighting is new, Lucas headlights, complete Pork Pie Lamps, original Land Rover plaques front and rear have been refurbished. A brand new Exmoor sand full canvas hood with flexible rear window has been fitted, along with new hood sticks.  The hinged front screen operates perfectly... Lovingly restored to an excellent standard.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes

Land Rover factory steel pressed wheels fully refurbished and finished in stunning Bronze Green paint.  Shod with brand new all matching premium Avon Traction Mileage 6.00 - 16 tyres costing over £1000.

The complete hydraulic drum brake system has been completely refurbished, the handbrake operates with ease and holds firm.

Engine & Transmission

Fitted with the correct 4-cylinder 1997cc petrol engine and 4-wheel drive. The engine, 4 speed gear box with high and low ratios, transfer box, front and rear axles and differentials have all be inspected and overhauled where necessary. New fuel pump, water pump, heater pipes, and electrics checked and tested by restorers Black Country 4x4.

The engine bay presents very well and retains many of its original features. Needless to say she starts on the button hot or cold and idles perfectly. Fully serviced June 2021 including all new ignition components.  On the road she performs well, gear selection is good with no adverse or concerning rattles or crunches.
