SOLD

Suzuki RG500 CH 1987

Summary

This incredible and very rare Suzuki RG500 CH manufactured 28th January 1987 was first registered in France 29th October 1987 and kept by the first owner until 10th February 2006. The bike was then sold to the second French owner Mr Partrick Donna. The history file contains all the French paperwork including the Certificat D'Immatrculation (V5) which details Mr Donna as being the second owner there's also an email from him detailing the bikes condition when he bought it from the first owner of 19 years.

Prior to Mr Donna purchasing the bike it had been professionally restored in 2005 at 28 thousand kilometers and formed part of a sizable 2-Stroke bike collection. The email from Mr Donna details that he never used the bike just started it up on a regular basis.  Upon arrival to the UK on 13th February 2016 the bike had only covered 25 yes 25 kilometers since restoration, we have a picture of the speedometer proving this in the history file..

All UK taxes have been paid and the bike UK registered on a 'D' plate. The history file contains all documentation as proof.  There's also a Suzuki UK 'Certificate of Construction' detailing that this RG500 is a matching numbers machine.

More details

The Suzuki RG500 Gamma is based on the factory racing machines, first introduced in 1974 and eventually winning seven world 500 Grand Prix titles, firstly with Barry Sheene, and lastly with Kenny Roberts Jr. in 2000. The street version was introduced in 1986 (the G model) and was well received but considered somewhat impractical and more of a racer replica than a straight street bike, something that was reflected in limited sales and production being stopped in 1987.
